Tenor Sports Secures Exclusive Canadian Media Rights to the Scottish Premiership

Tenor Sports has secured exclusive Canadian media rights to the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) through an agreement brokered by Infront, the SPFL’s international media rights partner. The partnership brings comprehensive live and on-demand coverage of Scottish football to fans across Canada, beginning January 3, 2026, with one of football’s most iconic fixtures: Rangers vs Celtic.

The SPFL features prominent Canadian talent, including national team defender Alistair Johnston (Celtic), while Canadian international Derek Cornelius is currently on loan at Rangers from Marseille. The agreement further strengthens the league’s connection with Canadian supporters and reflects growing international interest in Scottish football.

Under the agreement, Tenor Sports will deliver live and delayed matches, along with highlights from the Scottish Premiership, as well as selected fixtures from the SPFL’s other professional competitions. The partnership is designed to expand the league’s footprint in North America and provide Canadian fans with a dedicated home for Scottish football.

“We are delighted to make ScottishSoccer.ca the new home of the SPFL in Canada,” said Hugh Dobbie, Partner at Tenor Sports. “Scottish football has some of the most passionate supporters and iconic clubs in the world, and this partnership allows us to deliver that intensity and atmosphere directly to Canadian fans through consistent, high-quality coverage, flexible plans, and competitive pricing.”

The agreement was facilitated by Infront, which manages the SPFL’s international media rights outside the United Kingdom and Ireland and works with broadcasters and platforms globally to grow the reach of Scottish football through territory-specific media solutions.

Using a streaming platform powered by StreamEAI, Tenor Sports plans to stream the remaining 41 matches of the 2025/26 season. Full match schedules and subscription options are available at scottishsoccer.ca. Beginning in the 2026/27 season, a minimum of 96 matches will be streamed annually.

The announcement was subsequently covered by industry publication SportBusiness, highlighting the continued growth of international demand for niche football media rights.
